To make your Windows 7 computer discoverable, click the Start button and select Devices and Printers on the right side of the Start menu. . Now, after manually updating the driver of your bluetooth device, when you click ‘Bluetooth Radios’ it should show one more item that says ‘Windows Mobile based device support’ in ‘Device Manager’. There are a few other things you want to pay attention to. If you have already added the non-working device to your ‘bluetooth device list’, remove the device and add it again. After adding it, if it gives you a connection problem error message, you may need to restart the computer.

Hello, I downloaded the latest btooth driver and proceeded with the installation: I continued to pair my XPERIA arc S (LT18i) with my N45SF and got the following error: Both devices have been successfully paired. I was able to connect a file to my phone with my laptop as audio / speaker and play music from my phone.

Despite the seemingly successful pairing (I’m confused about why they seem to work), what can be done to get rid of mistakes? I have tried automatic driver detection / installation via Windows Update to no avail. Hi maxie, Unfortunately, installing PC Companion (and updating all of its subcomponents) didn’t fix the problem. However, I found a post from xda developers that fixed the issue.

Solution: • Start> Search> Device Manager> Other Devices> Bluetooth Peripheral Device> Update Driver Software • Continue From Results: Generic driver was installed and I managed to get rid of that annoying yellow exclamation mark. Device Manager Show Bluetooth Devices Once again, I tested sending a video and playing music with my laptop as the audio device with good results. Since this is a generic driver, the solution can work on any bluetooth device regardless of brand. If anyone else comes across this, it might be worth a try.

I’m not trying to connect anything I don’t think about (Except my drivers, I’m using Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit with 2GB of RAM and Intel Dual Core 2.5Ghz as processor. I’m using a Frontech USB Blutooth. I’ve been using it for a few days on my XP and also on Windows 7 after upgrading. But lately I noticed that my bietooth cannot transfer files.
